Rideau Hill Camp is extremely fortunate to have the support of the communities which it serves. This support is evident in a number of ways. Thousands of hours are donated each year by individuals who assist with camp. In the area of administration, volunteers help by being registrars, folding and stuffing letters and sitting on the camp council. Volunteers are essential to property maintenance. Each year volunteers help by coming out to the spring opening day where they help to get everything in place for our first campers. This along with the many volunteers who come out to lend a hand as needed for tasks like replacing a roof, clearing trails and painting. Throughout the summer other volunteers ensure safe water by completing the required training and daily testing our water system. Nurses and doctors commit to staying at the camp twenty four hours a day while a camp is in session to address any medical needs that a camper may have. Chaplains volunteer in the same way by providing assistance during our daily programming and to act as support for both the campers and staff. It is indication of the strength of the community when it is able to produce such individuals.

Rideau Hill is also fortunate to receive financial support from the presbytery, pastoral charges, UCW, community organizations and private individuals from the surrounding area. All of these groups face the challenge of fundraising and their decision to help support RHC is greatly appreciated.

It is very important that as many children as possible have an opportunity to attend camp. It is because of all of the support that the camp receives from the community that the fees can be kept low.
